We created this using google slides.




Reflection:  it was  easy to  get  the  shapes .and it was hard  to  write.

how do you be cyber smart ?

Finding the Area of a shape

WALT find the area of a shape in square centimetres.

We explored shapes by covering them with square centimetre cubes and counting how many cubes it took to cover the shape.

We then drew shapes on grid paper and counted how many squares our shapes covered.


Reflection: making the Square was easy , woking  out how meny cubes on the Square was hard

the fairy tales in Te Reo Maori.`

WALT make a movie using iMovie

We created this to help celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori (Maori Language Week)
We created this by taking a video of the little puppets moving.  Then we took off any background noise and recorded our voices saying the Te Reo Maori for the fairy tale. We then added titles to show the english translation and who made the video.

WALT created created a drawing in Google drawings.

 We created this to show our learning using slides and google drawing. 
 It was wonderful to have Tuatara come in and help us with Google Drawings.  It was hard to put the information into our own words.  Google drawings was sometimes frustrating!

We are learning about Hauora and that we each have 4 'walls' which we need to look after so that our body and mind can be happy and healthy.

We created this to show how we look after ourselves.

Descripve writing

WALT use descriptive words and language to make our writing more interesting.

We did this pies of  writing to practise using descriptive words and language.

Biography of kelemete family story

W.A.L.T write biography.

We wrote biography because we are learning about our family.
we wrote biography to tell other people about someone special in our family.

 Kelemete is my dad he was born in Apia Samoa His favourite childhood memory is Getting roller rules for Christmas he went to college and Auckland his first job was at the gas station when my dad was a boy who lived in samoa one day he climbed a mango tree and got up on my nana's roof and couldn't get back down he had to get older kids from The Village to get him  down when he got down he got a smack  from his dad his favourite food is taro leaves and coconut cream stuff  that I like to do with him and he likes to do with me are going fishing with him his favourite sport is rugby mine is to.

We have been learning about our families.

We have been learning to tell stories though animations in Slides.
We have been learning to record using Screencastify.

we created this because we wanted to be able to share and save the special stories from our families.



Two things I think i did well are getting more slides and doing the Screencastify.
It was hard to find the transparent background pictures that  I wanted to use.

My Family Publishing

WALT organise our ideas in our writing into basic paragraphs so that we are only talking about one thing or person at a time

My family

In my family I have two brothers and one sister and me and my mum and dad and one pet.

My dad’s name is Mete.  He is 37.  He works at ITM.  He used to play rugby and he also likes fishing.

My mum’s name is Carly she likes good kids.  She likes beaches.  She is 37.

My sister is 3.  She is a bully and bossy.  She likes the colour purple.

My little brother is 7 months.  He likes toys.

My older brother is Keelan, he is 11 years old.  He’s a bully and his favourite colour is red.


Reflection:
